Picture of Harry

Hi. My name is Harry, I'm a Guide Dog Puppy in Training and this is my Blog.

Atherton Appeal

Harry supported Guide Dogs' appeal to equip the brand new training school for the North of England at Atherton. He was keen to help as he was to be one of the first puppies to train at the new school.

Harry was at the launch of the appeal on 7th October 2008 where he got to meet the Press. One of the newspaper articles can be seen here.

Going up in the world

Now that Harry is a little older and there’s little or no risk of puddles in the house, he has been granted the privilege of being allowed upstairs – but by invitation only. We had some work to do in the bedroom so Harry was invited up to join us. We took one of the small padded mats he used as a very small puppy and a bone for him to chew and settled him down in the corner of the room.

Within 5 minutes he had relocated both the pad and bone to the top of the stairs, although why he bothered taking the bone is a mystery – all he was interested in was taking the cover off the pad. But he certainly enjoyed being at the top of the world. It’s something Harry has aspired to for a long time.
