Picture of Harry

Hi. My name is Harry, I'm a Guide Dog Puppy in Training and this is my Blog.

Atherton Appeal

Harry supported Guide Dogs' appeal to equip the brand new training school for the North of England at Atherton. He was keen to help as he was to be one of the first puppies to train at the new school.

Harry was at the launch of the appeal on 7th October 2008 where he got to meet the Press. One of the newspaper articles can be seen here.

Garden Party

Harry and his pals were invited to an Open Garden event on Sunday.  In total there nine Guide Dogs attending – one working dog, two retired and six pups. It was a lovely summer’s day and they all had a fabulous time, especially as there was a stream in the garden so they could paddle if they got too hot.

Harry is always delighted to meet up with both Price and Summer, who he has known since they were tiny pups. Although they are not in any way related, Summer is starting to look a an awful lot like Harry, and apart from the obvious, it seems the only real difference at the moment is in size, but she’s catching him up fast.

Greeting each other

Usually, the only time all three of them are together in the same place is at puppy class, where they always have to be on their best behaviour, so Sunday afternoon was a real treat.

After a quick hello it didn’t take them long to get down to the serious business of playing. Less than 20 seconds actually.
