Picture of Harry

Hi. My name is Harry, I'm a Guide Dog Puppy in Training and this is my Blog.

Atherton Appeal

Harry supported Guide Dogs' appeal to equip the brand new training school for the North of England at Atherton. He was keen to help as he was to be one of the first puppies to train at the new school.

Harry was at the launch of the appeal on 7th October 2008 where he got to meet the Press. One of the newspaper articles can be seen here.

Growing Up

This morning we couldn’t get Harry’s collar on. It seems he’d had a huge growth spurt overnight and while yesterday the collar fitted snugly, today we couldn’t get it fastened. Harry is growing up fast and we’re rather sad to say goodbye to his baby collar.

Baby collar

So wearing his brand new big boy’s collar Harry set off for Puppy Class – only this time he wouldn’t be allowed to sleep through the whole thing. This time he would have to do his sit, down and stays along with all the other pups. Harry thought it was a grand day out meeting all the other local Guide Dog pups and performed his sit, down and stays with confidence, although he did get a little distracted from time to time. It was just so exciting.

In fact, it had all been so exciting, as soon as he got home he needed to lie down, go to sleep and dream all about it.
