Picture of Harry

Hi. My name is Harry, I'm a Guide Dog Puppy in Training and this is my Blog.

Atherton Appeal

Harry supported Guide Dogs' appeal to equip the brand new training school for the North of England at Atherton. He was keen to help as he was to be one of the first puppies to train at the new school.

Harry was at the launch of the appeal on 7th October 2008 where he got to meet the Press. One of the newspaper articles can be seen here.

Stranger in the camp

It seems there’s another puppy here at Number 58 and it lives in the gas fire in the front room. It’s only his reflection in the glass, but it keeps sneaking up on him when he least expects it. Yesterday it appeared again, just as he was settling down for a snooze, and he wasn’t happy – it was disturbing his nap time. After much posturing and harrumphing, Harry decided this new stranger had to be investigated.

Cautiously he made his way forward, then he moved to the left and it moved left too, so he moved to the right and it followed him. A head on approach was required, only he hadn’t bargained on the glass being so hard and bumped his nose.
